My name is Marco Moor and I am the owner of Lifestyle Hearing Aid Center. I have been a resident of Florida since 1982. I graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with a Civil Engineering Degree in 1992. I went on to become a pilot in multiple aircraft and received the Distinguished Flying Cross in 2003. After ten years of active duty service, my wife and I decided it was time to move back to Florida, so our children would be closer to extended family. Changing careers; I joined the Air Force Reserves and followed in my father’s footsteps.
My Father, Alex Moor, has been serving the needs of the hearing impaired since 1970 and I have been going to work with my father since I was 7 years old.
At first our family business consisted of my dad, my wife (Eve), and I. As our business has grown our family approach has stayed the same. Our staff has been filled with friends and neighbors that have our same vision, values, and customer first mentality.
Misty McAlister joined our team in 2008. She is the glue that holds us all together. We not only consider her an integral part of the team; we consider her part of our family. We are so grateful to have found Misty (or as she says – she found us). Born and raised in Punta Gorda, Misty loves to take care of people and it shows. We can’t say enough good things about her.
Don and I were next door neighbor for over ten years ago. He and I hit it off immediately. When the recession hit in 2008 and the company he worked for closed, I didn’t hesitate to ask him to join our team. After completing the National Training and Florida Licensing process, Don went on to complete our own in-house training program. Don oversees our Venice location and has become our new technical research leader constantly in search of the latest technologies.
